Reeling Evening

Reeling - or Scottish Reeling, as it's properly called - is a popular style of dancing which is energetic, sociable and great fun. The dances are easy to pick up with simple, repeated patterns, especially when a 'caller' [teacher] is on hand to tell you what comes next in the dance. Reeling is open to everyone as the steps are basic, including setting, turning, casting off, and figures of eight. Watch this short video to see how much fun it can be!

Parents are invited to sign up below for an enjoyable evening of dancing with their sons - and please bring daughters too! We suggest 8yrs as a minimum age. No prior experience is required, and beginners are especially welcome. We will provide supper and all drinks throughout the evening.

This will be the 3rd year running for this event. If the last two years are anything to go by, this will be a great addition to the festive season at Cothill. Do join us if you can!
