Cothill House

Library

The school library opened in 2003. It holds some 10,000 books, maps and CDs, and is divided into reference and lending sections. It is comfortably furnished and designed to be a place of retreat for those seeking a break from their routine. Boys come up to look at the daily papers or one of the magazines, conduct research for projects, or just to read quietly or complete an academic assignment.

The library also holds the Cothill archive and has jigsaws and other games available. Boys are encouraged to have a reading book throughout the term, and new stock arrives regularly. The Accelerated Reader programme helps inspire the younger and less experienced readers.
